UAA School of Nursing seeks innovative, energetic individuals who have a passion for building strong nursing education programs that address health care challenges in the State of Alaska and beyond.
Faculty members will support University of Alaska tripartite mission of performing teaching, research and public service, as well as provide classroom and clinical teaching to associate and baccalaureate degree nursing students. All faculty to plan, implement and evaluate existing curriculum. Doctoral prepared applicants may have the additional opportunity to provide instruction to graduate students in nursing theory, nursing research, and professional issues, and will be expected to assist in the provision of thesis supervision. Scholarship is included in the work expectations of doctoral prepared faculty.
Applicants must hold at least one post-baccalaureate degree in nursing with clinical specialty in area of nursing outlined in detailed position postings. Master's degree in nursing is required and doctorate in nursing or related field is preferred. Clinical experience in appropriate nursing specialty is required.
