This is the First Place to Start, so if you are interested in being a RRANN Participant (majors or pre-nursing), please complete the appropriate form below and either fax, mail or deliver to our offices. You can also call ahead and arrange for a one-on-one meeting with one of our Student Success Facilitators.

If you are not familiar with RRANN but would like to receive more information regarding our services (that this site does not address), you may send an email (in the Contact Us section) and you will receive an Informational Packet in the mail (you may also simply come to our offices and pick one up).

NURSING WORKFORCE DIVERSITY PROGRAM (NWDP):
The UAA School of Nursing is pleased to announce the formation of a new program designed to address the lack of diversity in Alaska's nursing workforce. The Nursing Workforce Diversity Program (NWDP) seeks to provide assistance and support to ethnic minority nursing students as well as economically and educationally disadvantaged nursing students of any ethnic background.

RRANN STIPEND APPLICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:
New applicants for the RRANN Stipend Program are only accepted at the beginning of each semester. Please read the Policy carefully and note the Specific Deadlines. Make sure the application is complete, signed and includes the required documentation.

RRANN TUTOR REQUEST FORM:
Fill out the Tutor Request Form if you need assistance with the pre-requisite biology and chemistry class or classes in the nursing majors. Tutoring is open to all nursing and pre-nursing majors, based on tutor availability. Please return the form to the RRANN Tutor Coordinator, PAMELA READ, Professional Studies Building, $146C (you may also fax the completed form to PAMELA @ (9070 786-4559).

Please allow 2-3 days for a tutor response. Tutoring is most effective if you seek help early in the course. There are also suggestions attached (For the Tutee Form) that assist you in getting the most out of your tutor experience.

We ask that the tutee complete a brief Evaluation following their last tutoring session. This information helps RRANN gauge the effectiveness of the Tutor Program and what we can do to make it more successful

RRANN MENTOR PROGRAM:
The RRANN Mentor Program provides academic and personal support to pre-nursing students. Pre-Nursing students or proteges are paired with an experienced nursing student or mentor, willing to invest time, energy and interest in the support of a protege.
