HOUSING
Nightingale Wing is located at West Residential Hall and is designed especially for nursing students who wish to live together on the UAA campus. Nightingale Wing is divided into single, double and quad living suites and all residents are required to purchase a UAA meal card. Students interested in placement at Nightingale Wing, are required to apply for housing through UAA Residential Life.
Nightingale Wing is considered one of the more quiet and academic focused residences on campus and nursing students are given first priority for placement.
UAA HOUSING APPLICATION
TUTORS
College level classes are challenging for all first year students and nursing students are required to be proficient in math and science course work. Therefore, RRANN has tutors available to help students be successful in completing the biology and chemistry requirements of the degree programs. Tutors are employed by UAA and they are available at no cost to all UAA pre-nursing and nursing majors students.
If you're interested in Tutoring, please speak with our Tutor Coordinator:

STIPENDS
The RRANN and NWD Stipend Programs are designed to provide financial assistance to students participating in both programs, making satisfactory progress toward an AAS or BS nursing degree through UAA. The stipend is similar to a scholarship, with added participation requirements. However, due to funding issues, stipends are offered on a semester to semester basis and must be re-applied for each semester.
For a Complete list of Policy and Requirements, please visit The Stipend Process section.
FINANCIAL AID
We strongly recommend that you apply for ALL available financial aid (UAA Financial Aid, Federal Funding (FAFSA) and Native Corporations). You should begin applying in early January of each year if you are planning on attending school in the summer or fall. Most funding sources have application deadlines in the spring, often as early as March or April.
Make an appointment to discuss your individual needs with the UAA Financial Aid office. You must complete a FAFSA form (you may also be eligible for federal grants, loans or work studies) to manage any funding through the Financial Aid office. Check also with your Native Corporation, Village Councils and Community Service organizations in your specific region for scholarship opportunities.
