Tutoring is a large component of RRANN, therefore we have a Full-Time Tutor Coordinator, with approximately eight additional tutors to assist you. These tutor services are available to all nursing majors and pre-nursing students in the prerequisite science classes, as well as the nursing courses and are always based on tutor availability.
If you need assistance, you MUST complete the Tutor Request form below and turn into Pamela Read, the Coordinator. You may either fax it, mail it or simply bring it to the RRANN offices, located in the Professional Studies Building. Please allow 2-3 days for a response and remember, tutoring is most effective if you seek help early in your course. We've compiled a list of suggestions that will assist you in getting the most out of your tutor experience.

FALL 2009 TUTORS
It is imperative that you NOT directly contact any of the below tutors regarding tutoring services . . .
even if you know them personally! Please only contact Pamela Read, the Coordinator and please only give your completed paperwork to either Pamela Read, the Coordinator or one of the RRANN/NWDP staff.
Please remember and respect that fact that the tutors are also students, therefore tutoring is based solely on availability and someone will contact you as soon as they possibly can.

STUDY TIPS
-
Get your A&P book and read the chapters pertaining to:Endocrine, Blood, Cardiovascular, Lymph, Immune, Respiratory, Metabolism and Genetics. Make sure you understand the electrolytes, Acid/base, blood components, Homeostasis, feedback loops and EVERTHING that are normal values because Pathophysiology is the study of the way a disease/illness starts or in easier terms, the abnormal.

Find a Dosage Calculations book for Nursing Math. There are many different types, brands authors and publishers, but I have confidence you can find a used edition. Start the book from the first page and go through each chapter, you will have a similar book in Informatics, but it is always good to have reviewed and understood the calculations.
